Terms of Use

Every Arizona State University policy, term, and agreement you are already bound by applies here in full, and applies first. That includes ASU acceptable use, data handling and records policy, research and export compliance, and the terms of the ASU CreateAI platform this tool runs on.

Nothing on this page overrides, narrows, or grants an exception to any of it. This page only adds detail specific to this tool, and where anything here appears to conflict with ASU policy, ASU policy governs and this page is wrong.

This service is for ASU faculty, staff, and approved university work. Sign-in requires an ASU CreateAI account, and access is tied to that account. Do not use it for personal commercial work, and do not use it on behalf of an organization outside the university.

Do not share your access with anyone else, including colleagues outside ASU, and do not put the service in front of external users or wire it into an external product.

You are responsible for having the right to upload and transcribe what you submit. Before uploading a recording of other people, make sure you have their agreement or the university approval your situation calls for.

Do not upload:

• ·Material you do not have permission to process.
• ·Data that carries obligations the service is not set up for, including student records under FERPA, health information, or export-controlled research, unless it has been cleared for this tool.
• ·Anything you are contractually barred from sending to a third-party AI service, since processing happens on the ASU CreateAI platform.

Transcripts and translations are produced by AI models and will contain mistakes. Names, technical terms, and figures are the usual casualties, and a translation can read fluently while saying the wrong thing.

Review the output before you rely on it, and especially before handing it to students or publishing it as an accommodation. Translated documents carry a notice saying a machine produced them, and that notice is there to stay: do not strip it from a file you pass on.

Accessibility features help you produce a compliant document, but they do not by themselves certify that your final material meets ASU or legal accessibility requirements.

Jobs run against shared, metered capacity using your CreateAI credentials, and usage is counted per account. Do not script bulk submissions or work around rate limits, and do not try to reach other people's jobs or the administrative endpoints.

The service is provided as-is for university work, with no guarantee of uptime, retention, or a particular quality of result. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. Features can change and access can be suspended, most often to keep costs or capacity under control.

What the service stores and how to remove it is described on the Privacy page. Deleting a job deletes the uploaded file and everything generated from it.
